Zirconia Fused Alumina(ZA), also called Zirconia Fused Aluminium Oxide, Zirconium Aluminum Oxide, is a member of the artificial corundum group for abrasives. It's made from fusion of aluminum oxide and chromium oxide under high temperature in electric arc furnace. Crystal structure is an important factor for quality of Zirconia Fused Alumina.The fused material is cooled down, crushed and graded into grits suitable for abrasives according to FEPA standard,or refractory grades for refractory bricks etc. It has small crystal size, high hardness, strength, high density, chemical stability, anti heat shock etc. Zirconia Fused Alumina is widely used in abrasives and refractory industry. Based on its Zirconium Oxide content, there mainly two grades: ZA25 and ZA40.
